ARTIST STATEMENT
Maciej Sadowski is a composer, double bassist and producer working across film, experimental cinemaand contemporary music. His practice is rooted in live performance, with a strong focus on low string instruments, particularly cello and double bass.
Avoiding sample-based orchestration, Sadowski works with real instruments, real performers and real spaces, shaping music that is physical, emotional and closely connected to image and narrative.

„A journey from surgery to sound”
A sonic narrative of regeneration and sacrifice. Written during recovery in Scotland following a kidney transplant surgery—where Maciej donated a kidney to his sister—the album explores the profound physical and emotional experience of the procedure. It is a raw, organic dialogue with survival and the fragility of life.
